let's get away

ČAm Sonntag will mein SŸ§er mit mir segeln gehen, sofern die Winde wehn, wŠr das nicht wunderschšn,..."(A song well-known in the 60s in Germany: On sunday my sweetheart wants to take me sailing, if there will be wind, wouldn't that be wonderful...) and so on and and so forth.
It is unbearable. We are under an inconspicuous but undeniable pressure.
It is the illusion that tempts us to want what we should one could say from a tourism-critical or even more generally from system-critical perspective. Nobody has to go for a drive - one can say brutally. That is an after-the-war idyl, a fifties idea, about small family and weekend, everything only in order to notice the difference to the regular weekday, that's why one has to go for a drive - just to get away, and to say it in this pretended casualty and  alleged lack of problem tells us everything about the unbelievable effort it costs to just get away. It is similar to 'just relax' or 'just to be for or against something'.

'Just' is the unmasking word combination, because it doesn't exist that way, but the un-satisfying longing for it does. But there are luring calls that make it possible that one wants to do the something like that mimetically. Luring calls of advertising that ask for imitating, luring calls that are completly non-alike the ones of the squeak sounds of the wiggling cars but still luring calls that know their aim in the same archaic memory. With the ad clips it is a situation comparable with drug extacy.
It is not about communicating but about a fantastic state of feeling-one-self as hero, as helmsman or whatever, anyhows as somebody who is made for this, so-to-say solely exists to ride a car in such landscapes, brought to a somewhat dumb minor form concerning complexity by the advertisment thus making it a rather plain physical albeit unconcious kind of sensation/phantasie. It is not about reality but about a state of mind of lost-ness with a feeling of happiness in oneself at the same time.
With these enticing imperceptible transitions - and in those by Heike Breitenfeld sampled film sequenzes even the transitions between the different car makes are fluent - it is about a kind of unrestrained ego-boost, of to be undisturbed, of to feel-good in one-self. What does this remind of?
The great thing is that such conditions can be evoked on different levels in the psyche of a person. The advertising clip ostensivly serves the surface of luxury, youth, beauty, and so on. But he soft musical transitions as well as the calm hilly landscapes through which the freshly washed cars drive also serve a deeper lying level and so with the ride one produces a kind of tender hospitality on wheels. Something that can also be sensed with overtly satisfied toddlers in front of supermarkets, and one gets even envious - about their absent - not to say totally blank - expression when they are swinging. What does this remind one of?

An early-childhood memory swells up in oneself. Wasn't one swinging in a pram and now for that there are the wiggling cars and later then the real cars which also swing or - more elegantly said - vibrate. It is something like  a swing-in to an eternal happy autism, there is no communication.....in contrary to the film in the basement here, where  is tried emphatically to lure animals in tensed expectation on my part and ignorance on the animals' part who do not want to be lured by some one. Thoughtfully NABU   (abbreviation for Naturschutzbund, an organisation in Germany for nature conservation
) gives advice on how to best build shelter and imitate animal sounds to communicate with them but these are complicated procedures - communication - I now think because one wants to see what one hears, the animal, very close. This is something quite different than to want what one is supposed to. Or should one also want to see what one hears - surely, but that is even more complicated.
The sweeping of the vehicle through the entranced environment works directly evident, because of it being self-preserving, self-righteous and self-oriented without disqualifying another person by this but selfish in a positive way hence like a windowless monad in accomplished overestimation of one's own capacities. The environment is of no interest as long as it does not disturb and it does not disturb as long as it is gently waved, makes small children go to sleep  -
