 What happened? We exchanged oxygen and petrol into warmth and movement. Out of oxygen and petrol also became carbon monoxyde, nitric oxides and hydrocarbons. Even with most modern technic only 30% of the released energy has been exchanged into movement. The other part got lost as waste heat and through loss of friction. Even with most modern technic we conciously damage our environment out of indolence and our comfort. But: The previously named pollutants do only come about with burning of fossile fuels. In vehicles with ottomotors the exhaust of pollutants is reduced by up to 99.5 percent (based on 1990) by working off arrears. |
